Google Now Confirmed the Google Update i.e. Fred Algorithm Update

The webmaster and SEO community, along with the automated Google tracking tools, all show strong signs that there was a Google update on 07/08 March 2017. That was a shocking news for all the SEO Companies. Because of heavy decline in the ranking of website having poorly organized and written content.

Many called this the Fred Update, a name we’re also adopting. That came from Google’s Gary Illyes, who has jokingly suggested that all updates be named “Fred.” It’s sticking with this one.

In popular social media marketing Twitter GOOGLE’s Gary Illyes officially confirmed this Fred Update.

Yesterday, during the AMA with Google session at SMX West, Google’s Gary Illyes may have confirmed the Fred algorithm update that targeted low value content on March 7th/8th.

Gary said in his response to questions about this Fred update that when they discussed the industry chatter on this update, his “search leads” decided not to discuss it with the public. Then Gary said he will say one thing, that the sites impacted by this update should have been because what they are doing are specifically against Google’s webmaster guidelines. Gary said the answer to why sites got hit by this is in the existing webmaster guidelines.

SEO EXPERT Barry Schwartz did try to get Gary to give us one specific guideline that these sites violated but Gary would not add anything more about this update.

Again, if he had to guess based on reviewing over 100 sites that saw significant drops on March 8th, Barry said most had low value content with the goal of revenue generation only.

From This update what we have learnt now is we should write the content with more information for the audience. We should not more be more materialistic. Now it is essential to write content full of information.
